Obituary

Daniel Lee Owl, Jr. was born on September 2, 1941, to Daniel Owl, Sr. and Lizzie Vann Owl. He entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2026, in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Daniel was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures and in the people he loved most. He was known for his playful spirit and loved cutting up and joking with his children and grandchildren, always finding a way to make those around him smile. Whether it was sharing stories, teasing his family, or simply enjoying time together, Daniel treasured every moment spent with those he loved.

He enjoyed taking long drives with no particular destination, appreciating the journey as much as the company beside him. Daniel also loved attending gospel singings and was a faithful attendee of Beaver Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life. When he wasn't out enjoying the countryside or spending time with family, he could often be found watching WWE wrestling, one of his favorite pastimes.

Above all, Daniel will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. His laughter, kindness, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughters, Sarah Nelson of Stilwell, Oklahoma, and Amanda Christie and husband Rick of Bunch, Oklahoma; his sons, Robert Owl and wife Ann of Stilwell, Oklahoma, and Drywater Owl of Bunch, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Kendal Bishop and companion Edwin Ross, Khristin Hamlin and husband Derek, Taylor Owl and companion Jacob Christie, Kody Owl and wife Tashia, Nik Christie, Branan Christie and wife Gabrielle, and Katelyn Nelson; twelve great-grandchildren, Kayden, Avery, Kennedy, Hayden, Foxx, Romey, Callen, Colson, Creedyn, Briar, Braven, and Robert; a special friend of the family, George "Doogan" McClemore; and stepchildren Kathleen Brown and husband Ted, Felix Fixin and wife Ann, Gerald Fixin and his wife Christina, and Dale Fixin and his wife Angela and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who survived him, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irene Fixin Owl; his parents, Daniel Owl, Sr., and Lizzie Vann Owl; his siblings, Mary Waters, Sam Owl, Joe Owl, Sam Lewis Owl, Woodall Owl, Daylight Owl, Peggy Williams, Nancy Bunch, Nellie Pettit, and Lucy Owl-Salinas; and one son-in-law, Melvin Nelson. Two stepchildren, Joe and Carolyn.

Daniel's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be remembered by those who were blessed to know him.
