Hazel Marie Capps, age 76, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2026. She was born on April 6, 1949, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to William Burnett and Bertha Fay Denton.
Hazel spent the majority of her life in Lincoln, Arkansas, where she built a life filled with simple joys and cherished memories. She met the love of her life, Floyd Delaney, and together they shared many wonderful years as devoted companions.
Hazel had a deep love for the outdoors and found happiness in the beauty of nature. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and especially loved watching hummingbirds flutter through her yard. She was talented with her hands and spent many hours crocheting, most notably creating her beloved crocheted gourds. Hazel also enjoyed yard work, walking in the woods, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Some of her most treasured moments were the weekends spent porch sitting with her sister, visiting, and reminiscing about the good old days.
Hazel’s greatest pride was her family, and she loved them dearly.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Hall and husband Bobby of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Lisa Bolinger and husband Charles of Lincoln, Arkansas; one grandson, Brandon Bolinger of Lincoln, Arkansas; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, Brayden, Colten, and Willow Hazel; one sister, Dottie Burnett of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and one brother, Ralph Burnett of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, William Burnett and Bertha Fay Denton, and by her beloved companion, Floyd Delaney.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit, and the simple pleasures she found in life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
