Jackie Wayne Soap of Stilwell, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Jackie was born January 11, 1967, in Stilwell to C.J. and Sally (Pritchett) Soap. He grew up in Stilwell and attended local schools. On June 3, 1989, he married Hazel (Duncan) Soap, who preceded him in death on November 13, 2019.
He worked in the poultry industry and enjoyed catching chickens, having worked for Robert Swake, Peterson Poultry, and Simmons Poultry.
Jackie loved spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, and speaking Cherokee. A devoted sports fan, he enjoyed watching his nieces’ and nephews’ games, SportsCenter, and football. He also enjoyed westerns and gospel music. Known for his hard work and infectious smile from a young age, Jackie was fun-loving, outgoing, and a big kid at heart.
He was a devoted member of Piney Creek Church and a man of faith. Jackie was a beloved brother, loving uncle, father figure to some, and a loyal friend to many. He was self-reliant but always willing to help anyone in need.
Jackie was the oldest of his siblings and is survived by two sisters, Freda (Jerry) Eagle and Bridget (Timothy Duncan) Gann; six brothers, Billy (Cassandra Sanchez) Teehee, Tommy (Trini) Teehee, Frederick Pritchett, Frankie Pritchett, Mitchell Pritchett, and Willard Pritchett; two nieces he helped raise, Autumn Pritchett and Justice Duncan; 10 nephews; and 11 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, and his parents, C.J. and Sally Soap; his grandparents, Columbus and Nancy Pritchett; one brother, Ricky Wayne Soap; three uncles, Willie, Rufus, and Jimmy Pritchett; and five aunts, Ruby Sawney, Louise Nofire, Luella Brown, Juanita Sevenstar, and Nellie Green.
Jackie’s family will remember him for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and love of life.
