Robert Floyd Braden, affectionately known as Bob, was born on April 17, 1939, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a passion for agriculture.
For many years, Bob dedicated himself to selling produce, sharing his love of growing a vast selection of fruits and vegetables with the community. His produce stand was not just a business; it was a gathering place where he cherished meeting new people and sharing stories. Bob had a jovial spirit, often entertaining visitors with playful jokes and charm.
In addition to his passion for farming, Bob had a notable penchant for spicy food. He was known to challenge diners at restaurants to eat the peppers left as garnish, and he would consistently rise to the occasion, much to the delight of those around him. A true lover of the culinary delights of his garden, he often slyly pocketed tomatoes and peppers to savor later.
Bob was not only a skilled farmer but also a dedicated family man. He is survived by his son Wiley Braden of Stilwell, Oklahoma, and daughters Dalila Braden of Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Nikki Hermann of Fall City, Nebraska. He is also survived by his beloved special friends Ginger Hermann and Christopher of Fall City, Nebraska, and Wendy and Daniel Morris of Stilwell, Oklahoma. two brothers, Mike Braden and Mary, and Danny Braden and Rhonda, both from Stilwell, Oklahoma. In addition to his immediate family, Bob leaves behind numerous grandchildren and a host of friends and family who will miss his spirit dearly.
Bob was predeceased by his daughter Brenda Braden, son David Braden, and his parents, Floyd and Lena Braden. He also mourned the loss of three grandchildren: Shane Watie, Shawn Watie, and Felix Sanders.
The memories of Bob will be cherished by many who enjoyed his gardening skills, storytelling, and the warmth he shared with those around him. He had a special place in his heart for the comfort foods made by friends, which brought him joy not just in taste but in the thoughtfulness behind them.
Bob's vibrant personality and zest for life will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His contributions to his family and community, paired with his joyful spirit, will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward.
