Wanda Faye Long
Wanda Faye Long, age 85, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2025. She was born on November 8, 1939, to Harry Davidson and Floymae (Maxwell) Davidson.
Wanda was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose faith and family were at the center of her life. She was a devoted teacher who changed the lives of many students over the course of her career by being patient, kind, and encouraging.
A faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Peavine, Oklahoma, Wanda lived out her Christian faith through service, compassion, and love for others. She also enjoyed reading and found comfort and joy in the works of her favorite authors—Nicholas Sparks, Danielle Steel, and John Grisham. In addition, Wanda loved to travel, especially taking family vacations that created cherished lifelong memories.
On January 19, 1957, Wanda married the love of her life, William “Butch” Long. Their marriage was a true partnership, built on love, laughter, and shared devotion to family.
Her parents, one brother, Glen Davidson, and numerous dear friends and family members preceded her in death.
Wanda is survived by her loving family: Children: Debbie Yandell and husband Roger of Cookson, Oklahoma; Ginger Long Leatherwood and partner Ron Dulworth of West Martinsburg, West Virginia; April Unger and husband Greg of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and Stephanie Bunch and husband Nate of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Brother: Kenny Davidson and wife Brenda of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Daniel and Connie Stillwell, Cassie and Bert Osburn, David and Terri Stillwell, Lesslie and Bailey Booth, Kolt Carver, Kyler Ruben, Chelsea and Zach Schemmer, and Asher Bunch. Great-grandchildren: Grant, Morgan, Jax, Gracy, Macy, Cayson, Peyton, Branson, and Elouise. Best friends: Leta Faye, Sherry, Joy, and Gene.
Wanda’s gentle spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering love for family and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
